I'm thinking of making a topical, but i'm not sure if the ingredients will react badly to each other, making some kind of poison or if they will cancel each other out in their beneficial properties.
Here's the topical that i'm considering on making:
zinc sulfate
vitamin b-6 (p-5-p)
distilled water
ethyl alcohol
polysorbate 80
emu oil
msm
magnesium sulfate or citrate
Reason for adding emu oil:
super zix II contains vegetable oil that has linolenic acid and oleic acid. emu oil is rich in both. why not use emu oil instead? it's also anti-inflammatory.
Reason for adding msm:
reduces scar tissue, fights bacteria, supports skin health, etc., etc.
Reason for adding magnesium sulfate (epsom salt):
apparently good for the scalp. i've heard that it dries out the hair though... anyway, the magnesium should work synergistically with zinc and b-6 (like ZMA). I might use citrate instead though since it's water soluble as well and i'm getting enough sulfate from the zinc sulfate.
There is no way that i would put magnesium chloride (a.k.a Mag Oil) on my scalp like some of you guys are doing. Chloride is caustic.
Thoughts?
Maybe add a little acetyl-l-carnitine powder in it as well.
And if you were to have your own topical, what would you have in there?
Any chemists out there?
