Libido cure after Finasteride...

Hey guys,

Many of you may know me from regrowth and know I had suffered from low libido after taking finasteride and know that it never really returned. My libido has been so low that I have avoided having a girlfriend with the embarissement of this problem.

Anyway on regrowth I told people I was going to get a drug called Dostinex because I had heard it boosted sexual desire ect. Well the good news for me is that is has! I feel exactly the same if not better than I did before taking finsteride all those years ago. The first week I did have some side effects including shortness of breath and I felt a bit uneasy within myself but they have all passed.

Also I'm not saying this this drug is for everyone with this problem as it can have some quite serious side effects like heart valve damage. I checked that out and found that it was in people taking up to 10 times the ammount I'm taking and I really just want to feel ok again and nothing else has ever worked (even viagra didn't regain my desire) I'm taking about .075 grams a week though some people take less I'm quite a big guy and that dose is working perfect for.

Anyway thought I'd keep you updated, also would like to hear anyones thoughts on this?

There is no logic in what your doing. If your low libido is to because of increasing Estradiol levels - add pygeum and see how you get on.

There's actually a lot of logic behind this. I have tried every herb under the sun, changed my diet several times and had my testosterone levels checked (which were all normal). I also got myself extremely fit. All with little to no results.

I have been off the finasteride I'd be guess for 2 years and my libido never came back. I'm aware that others have had this same problem. I'm not encouraging others to do what I'm doing. I'm just giving an update as people on regrowth are here now.

If your libido had decreased to next to nothing which destroyed a huge part of your life and made you feel depressed wouldn't you do something about it? LIke I said I tried everything before taking this drastic measure. I'm on a low dose and I will be getting checkups to see I'm fine. But I am the happiest I have been since getting my libido back, regardless of how it was done!

As we age Estradiol increase which increases SHBG which means more testosterone is being bound by SHBG and free testosterone is falling.

It may cause some hair loss, have to wait and see. It's meant to be a possible temporary problem though and in some. I am more worried about my heart so am going to get that checked. But once again it's about the dosage from what I have read. Take too much of anything and it can kill you.

Well let me just say I have had no more hair loss but it is early days.

Another thing I have to say is that I have decided to go off dostinex. Though it is probably safe in lower doses I still don't want to risk having a heart attack by 40. However I found another drug in the same class without that side effect so I'm just going to move onto that one instead. I loved having my libido and really just want to have a normal life!

Hey any of you guys been in pickup forums? They are quite interesting. I'm in a local one and lets face it we spend a lot of time trying to keep our hair to look good for the opposite sex!
