Is Rogaine Foam any good?

I'll take a whack at this one. Yes. I use the foam version and I have also used the regular kind. The foam is easier to apply because it doesn't drip. Also, it's less messy in the hair and has a sort of mousse-like feel.

As far as regrowing hair, I see a bit of an improvement after about 6 months of using it, but not much. I'm happy to keep what hair I have though.

Thanks maestro. What do you mean by mousse-like? Does it harden the hair when it dries like mousse does?

My experience of Rogaine foam is that it is a glorified version of the liquid - your body heat melts it on contact with your skin and it runs everywhere. I began to suffer increased hair loss while using the foam and had to abandon it after a year. I'm slowly recovering that hair by other means.

I wouldn't recommend the foam to my worst enemy, actually, I would.

Hey Regrowth

Thanks for the info. I'm using the rogaine foam now with revivogen. The two seem to be helping me maintain my current hair. Now I'm a bit excited about some of the stuff that people are talking about in the experimental section of this site.

Hi Stan, never tried Revivogen personally, I heard it was pretty messy and I have an aversion to going too far that way, though I am trying emu oil at the moment (mixed with essential oils) and it can get messy too.

I genuinely had high hopes for the foam - the logic and the science of it made sense, increased penetration and all, but, from the moment I started applying it, I saw all my gains slip away and ended up with a double-crown. Never again.

Yes, there are some interesting things in the experimental section, I'm paying close attention to the A&G thread. \:D/

Rogaine foam is good-I use it. Does anyone know what the ingredient Benzophenone-4 is and Guanine?
