This active has been shown to protect skin stem cells and delay the senescence of hair follicles.

Mibelle Biochemistry has combined nature and science to create an active based on apple stem cells. Using a novel, patent-pending plant cell culture technology, the company introduced its PhytoCellTec (INCI: Malus domestica fruit cell culture (and) xantham gum (and) glycerin (and) lecithin (and) phenoxyethanol (and) water (aqua)). The company reports that dedifferentiated callus cells from a rare apple were developed for incorporation into the active ingredient. This active has been shown to protect skin stem cells and delay the senescence of hair follicles.

According to the company, apple stem cells are rich in epigenetic factors and metabolites that assure the longevity of skin cells. The application of plant cell cultures to maintain the function of skin stem cells is a breakthrough in antiaging.

Liposomal \:D/
PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica is a liposomal preparation of apple stem cells produced by a novel, patent pending plant cell culture technology.

PhytoCellTec - a novel plant cell culture technology has been invented to cultivate dedifferentiated callus cells from a rare Swiss apple. These apple stem cells are rich in epigenetic factors and metabolites, assuring the longevity of skin cells. PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica has been shown to protect skin stem cells and delay the senescence of hair follicles.

PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica provides a revolutionary anti-aging performance for real rejuvenation.

The Effect
The new substance PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica from Mibelle Biochemistry was investigated in various
experiments. In-vitro experiments showed that the substance promoted the growth of human mesenchymal stem cells
and protected them against UV attack. In further experiments with hair follicles, it was shown that the apple stem cell
extract delayed the senescence of the follicle cells and so led to a rejuvenation of the cells.
Also new possibilities are open in hair care. PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica protects the hair stem cells and
so prevents early balding and delays graying of the hair.
Nothing about regrowth that I can see..but I'll take the prevention bonus for $50, Alex. More if it smells good.

In vitro and in vivo tests performed by Mibelle have suggested that the ingredient, PhytoCellTec Malus Domestica, boosts the production of human stem cells, protects human stem cells from stress and decreases wrinkles.

In vitro the extract was applied to human stem cells from umbilical cords and was found to increase the number of the stem cells in culture. Furthermore, the addition of the ingredient to umbilical cord stem cells appeared to protect the cells from environmental stress such as UV light.

Another interesting finding was the ability of the ingredient to delay the ageing of hair follicles, suggesting a possible use in anti-ageing hair preparations.

Despite this finding the company stated that the main focus of the active is skin care for the face.

On stem cells and hair:

I guess the laminaria would apply more to this though:
Promotion of hair-growth with Laminaria angustata extracts

Publisher: Blackwell Publishing

Abstract:

The mechanism of hair growth has been clarifying itself by the improvement in the culture techniques for hair follicle cells. Recently stem cells inducing the anagen phase in the hair follicle cycle have been discovered in the bulge region of the outer root sheath (ORS). To find growth-promoting agents for the ORS cells, we evaluated the effect of various botanical extracts on the growth of cultured human hair follicles. We found that Laminaria angustata extract increased the ORS cell growth. Further, hair-growth in the shaved skin of C3H mice was also promoted by the topical application of the extract.

A response from them says that it will officially be launched next month at the in-cosmetics show in Amsterdam. Which could mean April since I got the message on the 28th of March.

Thanks Jacob
Do you know if anyone has experimented with that extract.

I wonder if the powder will dissolve in an oil such as papaya oil and if there would be an interaction.
Or if dissolving it in DMI and water would be better

And I just want your opinion as to how long topicals should be left on? What is the minimum time allowable to still get benefit

Chore boy is using it full strength..I think.

It's a liquid btw: "Off white to amber liquid suspension "........"Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract (and) Xanthan Gum (and) Glycerin (and) Lecithin (and) Phenoxyethanol (and) Water"

I personally leave mine on overnight and even the ones I can get away with using during the day- leave them on all day. At least during the week...when there are no meetings or other social gathering type things goings ons :) I would say leave them on at least a few hours.

Some other ASC containing products. The first one isn't made for the scalp/hair..but the "seaweed" may be good..and it doesn't have so many other crazy ingreds:

http://www.divadeva.com/Plant-Stem-Cell ... /pscs1.htm

I'm assuming it's ASC in this line: http://www.hairprof.net/en/products-mad ... stem-cells

I had forgotten some of the products mentioned above. That last one is a kit...
Jungle Fever’s new triple action Scalp Therapy™ method is based on an extract taken from StamyCelTM stem Cells, which forms the essential active ingredient of the three professional phytocosmetic preparations: Triple Action Skin Preparer, Triple Action Shampoo, Triple Action Mask and Triple Action Lotion. Scalp Therapy™ products have also been enriched with Piroctone Olamine, a compound with remarkable antibacterial properties, and Capriloil Gliycine, an amino acid that cleanses, protects and normalises sebum production. The correct and periodic use of Scalp Therapy™ products guarantees renewed vitality to hair and follicle, prevents premature hair loss, helps the production and retention of pigments, delays the graying process and rebalances skin disorders such as dandruff and seborrhoea.
Another plant stem cell ingred/combo..from Sederma:

http://www.sederma.fr/home.aspx?d=conte ... 127&p=3346
Resistem™ is able to reproduce a hormetic response in the skin cells that develops a genuine defence system in the heart of the skin. A complex and diverse in vitro evaluation has proven Resistem™’s positive effect on:

tissue regeneration by preservation of skin stem cells character and niche,
cell detoxification by maintenance of proteasome activity,
cell longevity by stimulation of the sirtuin-1 synthesis.

Resistem™ is an anti-ageing “bodyguard” of the skin. It helps skin to naturally decrease the level of pro-ageing agents while reducing the toxin-induced micro inflammations. In vivo studies demonstrated its ability to soothe the skin, reduce redness, improve the evenness of the complexion and restore its natural glow. The skin feels appeased and reveals a much fresher look. Through a virtuous circle, Resistem™ recreates its own beauty!
