Would you care? - A Theoretical Scenario
Below is a theoretical scenario. so imagine this is going to happen and answer truthfully...
If you knew you were going to spend the remainder of your life living on a small island in pleasant conditions, would you try as hard as you are now in maintaining/growing back your hair? On this island you can bring your partner and children if you have any.
Please vote in the poll. This question will show how much keeping your hair is related to your self confidence/self esteem and removes the everyday pressure and constant judging of people's apperance. Would this scenario change your thinking?

Re: Would you care? - A Theoretical Scenario
I voted, and I'll be honest... hell yeah I'd care. We aren't animals, we are still humans with self-awareness and the ability to reason, laugh, cry, feel happy, etc, and most importanty... THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE, and do things about our current situation to improve it. Having long, flowing hair would make me happy, and there isn't anything that would change that.
On a deserted island or not, I would still use my massive regimen consisting of 1 laser helmet, if it was solar powered (hmmm....), and occasional zix.
As humans, we live for the future and what "could be"... as soon as that stops, you might as well DIE. If I'm on a deserted island, I'm not dead yet!

If there are no mirrors on this Island and no chance of ever going back to the "civilized" world then I do not care about the hair.

Re: Would you care? - A Theoretical Scenario
I know its a simple question but these things pop into my mind...
If i could find the cure on the island than could i share with the rest of the world the secret/cure?
Even tho i technically come to the forums for myself and no one else, i still get a great feeling from giving. Just like christmas and birthday im the type that would prefur to give a gift than reveive one. My point is as much as id love to forget my problem, i could never forget everyone else who suffers (including future generations) and even tho im only one person, i think the more people helping, the quicker it wont be a problem anymore.
