I check Lee's Pharm website every now and then. They had 2005 listed as the launch date of their hair growth product (Tb4). Of course, it didn't come out in 2005. I checked the website tonight and they changed the launch date to "uncertain".
Panacea-Biotec, likewise, hasn't said anymore about Tb4

PDT hair "removal" technique in trials
I know this is about removing hair, but it looks interesting and might be better than existing laser hair removal techniques already out there. I did see one dermatologist about the wheat field growing on my face and she said that since the hair was so fine and blonde, she couldn't treat it. Quest P...

8-month propecia update
I would say that it is working for me. I didn't experience my massive spring time shed. For 2004 and 2005, I shed excessively from March through June. It was a little better in 2005 since I had started minoxidil the year before...but still, shedding was crazy in 2005. I'll go so far as to say that I...

Serum ferritin tests
I found a lab in my area that will test my serum ferritin without doctor's orders. To go there and do it without a doctor's referral will only cost me a little more than it would if I went to the doctor and had him write me a referral. With all of the buzz about serum ferritin levels and female hair...

stem cell news that is not hair-related
I was reading about Australian doctors who created working heart tissue from a person's own stem cells. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060607/ts_afp/healthstemcellsheart_060607050211 Adult stem cell research really blows me away. The funny truth is, I probably wouldn't know a thing about stem cell re...

Any new news?
I've been checking to see if there's anything new on the drug front:
* Curis hedgehog
* Neosil OSH 101 (PS1)
* Panacea-Biotec Tb4
I haven't seen any new press releases on those drugs. I know Pfizer is working on foam minoxidil. They aren't talking about that one either.

I almost bought one bottle of FNS for my hair. I contacted the company for more information and they never responded to my inquiry. So, I didn't buy FNS and I started minoxidil instead. I, for sure, wouldn't need this lash/eye brow product. Ever since I started minoxidil (on my scalp only, of course...

I haven't had much luck in finding a doctor who will test serum ferritin for me. Initially, a dermatologist checked my serum ferritin, told me it was low, gave me 3 months of supplements and referred me to my regular doctor. My regular doctor would not re-check my serum ferritin. He would only check...

Low iron and hair loss
Hair Loss May Be Caused By Iron Deficiency Thursday, May 18, 2006 By Daniel J. DeNoon If you're losing hair, you may have an iron deficiency. A review of 40 years of research shows that iron deficiency has a much closer link to hair loss than most doctors realize. It may be the key to restoring hair...

If HM works like they say it will, then the number of practioners who offer it will proliferate. I guess it would be offered first by existing hair transplant doctors, then specialized dermatologists, then run-of-the-mill dermatologists. Any other kind of doctor who wanted to add to his practice's r...

I want to see a press release saying that Aderans has started Phase I. I'd also like to see something from Intercytex officially announcing that they have started Phase II. Jayj, When hair shifts into growing phase, it has to shed first. It can't go from resting to growing without kicking out the hair. So, when you first start minoxidil, your hair gets the signal to grow (hopefully) and it throws a lot of hair into the growth phase at once. As those hairs transition in...

I do not know of any effective hair loss treatments that can be used by pregnant women. Some women use the Lasercomb, but I haven't heard of anyone who is really happy with it. Women desire a greater level of hair density than men. In my opinion, there really aren't treatments available that will he...

Yeah, there was a little blurb about that in the Intercytex Phase II news article that was posted this week. There was some mention of using donated stem cells. I think if it works the way they bill it, then it will largely eliminate other treatments. The way they talk about hair cloning sounds as if people will have to go back for touch-ups. I suspect people will be encouraged to continue using minox and propecia. Also, the thing I don't like the think abo...
