Hair cloning, 3 to 4 yrs away....

This interesting. This guy said a few months ago that hair cloning was 10 yrs away. Now, he says its 3 to 4 yrs away. I think the recent stem cell news from Fuchs is even bigger than has been stated. Hair Cloning Nears Reality as Baldness Cure Hair Multiplication Puts New Face on Hair Restoration By...

I have cut my hair shorter. I still get compliments on my hair, but I wish I could wear it longer like I used it. It's something you have to get used to.

Gaga, One thing about shed rate, it really doesn't mean much. A person can lose lots of hair everyday and still not have thinning hair if new hair replaces the lost hair. Another person may only lose 20 hairs a day, but still have thinning hair if the regrowth rate is slower. I think it's great that...

Thanks Blueshard

I'm doing fine. I'm glad that I'm using minoxidil relatively early. I wish I had started using it last year when I went to a dermatologist about a thin patch I was developing. She told me it was nothing and told me to take iron supplements. I went to a doctor this year (male doctor). He said he coul...

Not sure of how well minoxidil is working

I've been using it for almost 5 months. I'm a female, so I started wtih 2% and have worked my way up to 5%. My shedding is down. I suffered from a round of TE for about 10 wks. I was losing a crazy amount of hair and thought I'd be bald by the time it stopped. I'm shedding a normal amount now. Not s...

Hi Reney, You might want to check out the following website. It's for women. http://www.heralopecia.com I'm a female with AGA. I know on the heralopecia site there are women there with alopecia areata and totalis. Women there are trying treatments or using a variety of cosmetic hair replacement opti...

minox question

I started out just using 2% (night and morning) in June. I switched to Xandrox 5% at night about 5 weeks ago and I'm still using 2% in the morning to use up what I have. I'll most likely switch to 5% for morning and night. I do have the side effect of some extra facial hair, but it's really nothing ...

okay as long as your setting up interviews

I wish you would interview Ben Mundy from Osteoscreen. (http://www.osteoscreen). They are beginning FDA Phase II study of OSH-101. From their website, this product looks promising. But, so many drugs turn out to be dead-in-the-water. My question about OSH-101 would be this....minoxidil causes extra ...

no new word

I posted this on another web site and didn't get any responses. It seems as if no one takes Singulair or Accolate.

I think I will get a prescription for one of these and see for myself. It will be kind of hard for me to get a prescription, since I don't have asthma or bad allergies.

Accolate or Singulair for hair loss and/or acne????

I saw this pharmacy patent filed recently. It investigates using Accolate for acne, rosacea, and hair loss. Well, I would be happy if it worked on both. I do suffer from adult acne and some hair loss. But, I'm skeptical. It seems as if it did work, then a bunch of people who used these drugs for ast...

okay here was my question

I noticed on their website that they have conducted clinical studies on their other products, but they didn't list a clinical study for FNS. That made me skeptical to buy it, so I asked my question to them and since I didn't receive a response...I decided not to buy it. Then, Sam posted that the FNS...

QLT Inc and yet another company

I actually contacted them (QLT Inc) about their study. They are testing it on men only. I asked them if they were going to try it out on women and I kind of got a snotty reply from them. It was the way they worded the reply that offended me. They said they wanted to treat MPB and maybe later they'd ...

Kind of interesting. Has anyone else heard about QLT0074?

I was trying to find out if there was any serious research being conducted into phototherapy for AGA. There is a Phase II study going on that is investigating the use of a cream (QLT0074) in conjunction with phototherapy. I hope it's a successful treatment. It sounds promising to me because they use...

Thanks for your feedback

I'm using 2% because my skin is hyper sensitive to everything. I'm surprised the 2% isn't irritating my skin. For now, it seems okay. Also, my hair loss isn't dramatic. People don't even notice that I've lost hair. But, I'm a female and I notice. I'll switch to 5% if I don't see any re-growth. Do yo...

Tons of shedding with start of minox 2%

I'm shedding all kinds of hair after starting minox 2% for the first time. I've been using it for a little over a week. I know they say you can have increased shedding during the first 2-4 wks, but it bugs me to see all of the fallen hair. Over time, do you really see less shedding on minox and re-g...

I don't think it's that uncommon for eyelashes and eyebrows to thin along with scalp hair. I haven't noticed any thinning of my eyebrows, but I know other women have complained of this. I do know that I have less eyelashes than I used to. My eyelashes are still there and evenly distributed, but ther...

Yeah, I decided it probably wasn't any good since I contacted the company and they never responded to my questions. LEDs...........

I've looked into the LaserComb and from what I can tell, it's not significantly different from a laser pointer. This sounds way too funny, but I purchased a Class IIIa (I think lasercomb is Class IIa) laser pointer that runs at ~680nm...something like that. Anyway, I held that thing next to my scalp...

Has anybody tried FNS follicle therapy?

Like everything else on the market, it's supposed to regrow hair but they can't say that because it's not FDA approved for that. You know the routine, blah, blah, blah.........

Okay a couple of people have asked already which LED device it is that you used. I'd like to hear the answer to that one.

Also, do you use anything else for your hair loss?
