I shouldn't have called you those names. But do you realize that when you make such a post, you could potentially cause any readers of it extreme worry? If you read those posts I referenced regarding the user "air" and his/her cliam it made him/her bald, then read through some of my previous threads ...

My apologies Sam. I guess all I was trying to say was that it's unconscionable to post a thread about a hair loss product remvoing your hair and saying it made you "bald", thus scaring the hec out of whomever might read it. And on top of that, refusing to post evidence as if it would be difficult or ...

Regimen recommendations

Other than minoxidil 5%, what would be a good combo to use with propecia. I'm currently on propecia, but decided to quit minox due to what may or may not have been excessive shedding. I'm also using Nizoral 3x/wk. I'd like to stay away from topicals if possible, expecially topicals with potentially ...

Thanks for the opinions. While I did notice lots of hairs falling out directly after applying minox (which freaked me out), I can't concluded it's made a definate degradation/cosmetic difference to my hair. After looking at a bunch of old pictures of myself on my computer, and zooming in on my scalp ...

Sam, from what I've been reeding, allergic reactions to minox result in things like irritated scalp, tingling in hands, dizziness, rapid heart rate, etc. But I haven't run accross anything describing what I've experienced. Since you seem to be knowledgable about minox, could what I experienced ...

I understand completely.

To clarify the situation. Before stopping, I stood over my white bathroom sink. I continuously and harshly rubbed my hands through my dry hair with no minox in it. Guess what? Nothing came out at all. I then applied minox and rubbed it into my scalp with my fingers without ...

I feel obliged to say this. So please read!

It has been suggested by members on other forums that I have experienced a severe allgeric reaction to the drug. A shed, for instance, into the first two weeks might be considered normal, but an instant shed seconds after applying the solution IS NOT ...

After careful consideration, I've decided to quit using minoxidil on my scalp. The rapid thinning of my hair over the past several weeks, feeling the urge to look in the mirror every chance I get and the fact that I'm spending most of my time at work browsing hair loss forums have all been too much ...

Thanks for the reply. I've never heard of propecia making people feel stupid as a side effect. The only side effect I've noticed is a possible increase in sex drive.

There's something called Dutasteride/Avaodart. I don't know much about it. Perhaps others can share some insight or you can ...

Timallen,

Just wondering how long you've been off the minox and if the hair you lost ever grew back (if it's been long enough).

Thanks.

Which picture looks worse?

So which of these pictures looks worse?

This picture below is current (8/24/05) and was taken this evening. This morning, I used some Nizoral shampoo in the shower, so my hair is fairly dry. FYI, I've been on minox 5% for 3-4 weeks and propecia for 4-5 months. I've been worrying that the excessive ...

After hours of research today, I've come to the conclusion that I should continue using the minoxidil.

I've learned that minoxidil topical solution is notorious for excessive initial sheads, that the this is a positive sing the drug is working. In addition, the lost hair will return thicker and ...

Hi Sam,

Thanks very much for your timely reply in this state of crisis I'm in.

When I say that my hairs a falling out after application, what I mean is that immediately after applying the topical solution, I can run my hands through my hair, or run a brush or comb through it over the sink and see ...

What's worse, immediately after ...
